An Order Confirmation will be Emailed shortly after checkout is complete. Please review for accuracy and report any discrepancies to Customer Service.
Orders for dry goods and chocolate are combined for shipping while frozen goods are separate. Orders are generally shipped within 48-72 hours, according to the order they are received, via FedEx Ground; actual lead times will vary depending on destination, transit times, and product availability. Delicate and perishable products are packed with thermal packaging and refrigerants such as ice packs; and cushioning such as industrial peanuts and bubble packets.
Because of the perishability and delicate nature of our products, shipping is timed on days where the packages will not sit in a warehouse, terminal, or unattended over the weekend.
Chocolate orders are sent out only on Mondays and Tuesdays allowing no more than two days transit. Destinations needing more than two days Ground transit will be shipped via FedEx Air. To ensure that chocolate products arrive in the same condition that they leave our warehouse, thermal packaging is used. All products leave the warehouse in perfect condition therefore PASTRY PORTAL cannot be held responsible for delays caused by weather, mechanical failure, courier delay, or issues beyond our control. PASTRY PORTAL is likewise not responsible for damages incurred as a result of delay in claiming the package, ie no one present at the time of delivery; as well packages that are undeliverable due to wrong address or missing information. Because of the perishable nature of chocolate, PASTRY PORTAL reserves the right not to issue refunds.
Shipping is available in the 48 contiguous US and District of Columbia only. Please refer to the map below for approximate transit days. All orders are shipped from our warehouse in IL.
PASTRY PORTAL uses PayPal for processing credit cards. A PayPal account is unnecessary however will be redirected to PayPal for credit card information.
Pricing is subject to change with or without notice depending on circumstances. PASTRY PORTAL will make every attempt to provide sufficient notice of price changes but cannot guarantee due to circumstances beyond our control.
RECEIVING ORDERS AND RETURNS
Please inspect all packages for external damage prior to accepting or signing. Please refuse delivery with visible external damage. PASTRY PORTAL is not responsible for damage that is received and signed. All concealed damage must be held intact until released by Customer Service for disposal or return.
Returns due to damage must be reported to Customer Service within three business days of receipt of package. PASTRY PORTAL will not accept any returns without prior notification. Once a return is approved, a Return Authorization Number will be issued and must be clearly displayed on the package. Once the product is received, replacement or credit will be processed.
A request for Order Cancellation must be sent to Customer Service within 24 hours of transaction. If the product is not yet shipped, credit will be issued. For items shipped, returns and exchanges not due to damage, return shipping will be the customer’s responsibility. Once the product is received, credit will be processed. Depending on the circumstances of return, a 20% restocking fee may be incurred.
PASTRY PORTAL reserves the right to decline a return if the product, upon evaluation, is deemed un-useable. A replacement, credit, or refund, partial or full, will be at the discretion of Customer Service.
